As flammable liquids evaporate and mix with the surrounding air, a condition may arise where the vapours generated can be ignited. If ignition of the vapours occurs, the heat of the flame results in increased generation of flammable vapours, further fuelling the flame.
In order for a flammable liquids fire to occur, three key elements must be present - fuel, oxygen and heat. Our cans are designed to remove one of the key elements for a fire so that the hazards associated with a potential flammable liquids fire may be more readily controlled.
Transport cans are of rugged ziacote™ steel construction for safe transporting of flammables. Roll bar safety guard protects valve and filler cap against damage during transport. Meets D.O.T. requirements. Built-in safety device relieves any internal pressure build-up if temperature exceeds 71oC.
