There is currently no Australian
standard for safety deluge systems, however we currently refer to the
American ANSI Z358.1 standard as the industry code of reference for
emergency eye wash, eye/face wash and safety showers.
ANSI Z358.1 recommends the body should
be drenched for at least 15 minutes after chemical contamination. We
recommend that proper training for employees includes instruction in
location and proper use. |
